GROUND ZERO NEW YORK MOSQUE
70
I strongly urge every loyal red-blooded American to please listen to the attached video while you are reading through this Hub out of a sense of American Pride, and out of respect for all those either found or yet unfound prowd Americans who lost their lives in 9/11.
In America, Canada included, we afford every religion the right to assemble and worship in their own faith and religion. Religion in my mind is something that is supposed to be a peaceful and loving, expression for ones God, as well as for the people. It cannot, must not, should not, in any way, shape, or form, condone any form of violence, especially the indiscriminate murdering of peaceful non-combative citizens, as took place by a group of radical, Islamic Muslims cowards, in 9/11.
As Christians, we are taught two differently opposed views in the "Old and New Testaments, with regards to those who have injured us or offended us in life. In The Old Testament, under Hebrew Law, we are instructed to respond to violence and injustice as written in EXODUS: 21: 24-25; "Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe." This is the law handed down to Moses to be taught and applied by the Hebrew Nation.
A few hundred years later, Jesus, during His ministry, teaches a new law with regards to violence and injustice as written in MATTHEW: 5: 38-39; Jesus speaks and tells the people; "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, But I say unto you, that ye resist not, evil: but whosoever shall smite you on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."
The people of The United States are still reeling and remembering the atrocious attack by the Islamic Muslim terrorist faction that hijacked 3 passenger airliners filled with passengers, and then used them to suicide bomb the twin towers and the pentagon.
It is still fresh in the minds of the American public, the images of the towers being struck and destroyed, as well as the pentagon. It is still fresh in the minds of Americans the tragic loss of the thousands of people, both aboard the planes, as well as in the buildings and on the ground. It is still fresh in the minds of the American people, the fact that there are still unaccounted for bodies in the rubble at ground zero where the twin towers once proudly stood. This is how Islamic Muslims respect life. This is how their God teaches them, to kill in His name.
Suddenly out of nowhere comes this Islamic Muslim group, clothing themselves with the amendments of the American Constitution wanting to build a Muslim Mosque on "Ground Zero" in New York City, atop of not just the rubble, the remains of the twin towers, but also atop of the remains of those people still remaining unfound and unidentified, in that same rubble. As far as I personally am concerned, this is a true insult to the country that has given them the right to call the USA. home, furthermore as far as I am concerned personally it is adding insult to injury.
I'll give you a scenerio to demonstrate my point of view: You are a parent with two beautiful teenage daughters. They are both at home, while you are out working. A Muslim man breaks into your home thinking to rob it and finds one of your daughters. During the commission of the robbery, the man Rapes and kills, the one daughter that he finds, robs the house and flees, unable to find the other daughter. A few days pass and the same Muslim robber/rapist/murderer, returns to your home, and this time you are there, and he asks you for permission to Rape and murder your other daughter. Are you going to simply turn the other cheek as Jesus recommends and offer the other daughter for his pleasure? I think not!
Even as a Christian, one who would and has in an instant, surrendered all that I am and all that I have to follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, I find it totally appauling and disgusting that some Islamic Muslim group could gather up the nerve to even think of erecting a Mosque on what should be now considered as "Sacred, Hallowed, Christian Ground" There are still many dead Americans still buried in the rubble, and I feel it would be not just an insult but a tragedy, to permit this ground to be used for anything except a memorial site, maybe a park in commemeration of the dead citizens who lost, gave up their lives in such a tragic way.
I feel it even more objectionable and appauling that these Islamic Muslims would dare to hide behind the Amendments of the Constitution, written in the blood of Americans as laws to govern the American society and their way of life, rubbing salt into the wounds of all the brave American men and women, that fought to create and defend, the very laws and government and people that they as Islamic Muslims would if they could, destroy and replace.
It is time for the "People" of the land, to tell the Government, supposedly the voice of the people to answer this request with a resounding "NO" Already they trample on the American right to pray openly, they destroy the fiber of America by trying to remove anything that is of Jesus, of Christ, from anywhere and everywhere saying that it is offensive to them. This is not their country, they fled their own country, to live in the land of the free, because their human rights were being trampled on.Which should mean they should be willing to adopt American culture, American ways of dressing, American ways of life, not try to change it into something Un-American, Muslim and Islamic. No Way.
I will even go one step further with this, rather than trying to change the American way of life, if they don't like it, let their option be to get on the next boat or plane, and we the people will gladly pay to ship you back home to where you came from, and the oppression you left, to come to America. Plain and simple.
I humbly apologize to My Lord Jesus and beg His forgiveness, but I must try to prevent an injustice, by adding my voice to those Americans who are in opposition to the building of an Islamic Muslim Temple Mosque on this sacred ground.
I urge all loyal Americans across the country to contact their "Voice of the people" their political representative demanding their voice be heard, and these Islamic Muslims be told without a doubt, "NO" no you can not build some mosque on this land for it is Sacred Land. No you cannot desicrate the burial place of hundreds of Americans, your people killed, just to try and ease your conscience. No you have no right to add insult to injury, by trampling on our fallen and dead. No No No!

Yes, turn the other check, but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
Keep on hubbing!
Brother Dave......
I could discuss at length about what Jesus meant by "turning the other cheek", but for now I'll just say this-------Remember that Jesus is God, and God is the same yesterday today and forever; He changes not; the same Old Testament God is the same New Testament God; He is the God of Love PLUS the God of Judgement and, yes, even War when it honors Him and not some fake god.
...So, you can humbly apologize to the Lord if you feel the need to, but please think on what I've said..?
Good hub. I rated it UP because you're a fervent Christian and, though Canadian, you sound like a U.S. patriot!
Bro Dave thank you for standing up for us and encouraging us to do the same. Well written! Voted up and awesome
I voted up. God Bless You .
I can see your point and it is well taken Kuya, Take care, Maita
Brother Dave:
As a fellow follower of Christ and as an American, I have to voice my disagreement with your concluding paragraphs. To keep my thoughts arranged and on point, I will adress them one at a time.
"I find it totally appauling and disgusting that some Islamic Muslim group could gather up the nerve to even think of erecting a Mosque on what should be now considered as "Sacred, Hallowed, Christian Ground"
Two points here: 1) the group trying to build the "Ground Zero Mosque" is not trying to erect it directly on ground zero but 2 blocks away. 2) I fail to see how a few islamic extremists flying planes into those towers makes the land "Christian." Is it an important site? Yes. Should it be preserved as a monument to the fallen? Definitely. Is it Christian? I don't see how one could make an argument for that.
"I feel it even more objectionable and appauling that these Islamic Muslims would dare to hide behind the Amendments of the Constitution"
They aren't hiding behind anything. The constitution explicitly protects freedom of religion and assembly.
"It is time for the "People" of the land, to tell the Government, supposedly the voice of the people to answer this request with a resounding "NO" "
The constitution and many laws of the land are set up to protect minority groups, even despised ones.
"This is not their country, they fled their own country, to live in the land of the free, because their human rights were being trampled on.Which should mean they should be willing to adopt American culture, American ways of dressing, American ways of life, not try to change it into something Un-American, Muslim and Islamic."
Your first part is right; often immigrants flee their country for a better life and more rights in America. But then your conclusion supports the suppression of various forms of expression because they don't line up with your view of "America" Your statements seem to support only freedom of expression for popular or palatable viewpoints. Also, I don't know what you mean when you say "this is not their country."
I hope you do not take any of this as a personal attack. However I feel that while your feelings are valid your conclusions are wrong.
I also have a hub on the topic and would appreciate if you took some time to read it and/or respond.

Peace my Brother
okay i was doing research on injustice and came to this page..i am a muslim and disagree with all this hatred that u have against muslims...if the people who caused the 9/11 and was muslim thats his/her problem...but our religion does not tell us to kill in the name of our god...islam is a religion of peace and sanity...we only fight if someone is a threat towards our religion we do not fight because everyone elses religion is wrong..we respect everyones religion...in ur eyes all of the muslims are terrorists but u dont understand is that not all of us have such insanity thoughts of murder and torture...we are all humans make mistakes that we dont discover till the end of life...please enough with the hatred towards muslims and other religions...all we ask is to build a mosque so we can gather and spread our religion to our children and keep the word of islam alive and cause no harm towards anyone ameen and thank you
